Milwaukee, Wisconsin wedding, senior, and boudoir photographer. I love taking a second in time and turning it into a tangible object - a photo. I hope my clients look back, many years from now, and remember their joy and happiness in these moments.
Emily and Joey had such an amazing wedding day! The forecast was calling for clouds, possible rain, and a cool 60 degrees. But the day came and it was 72 degrees, sunny with a few clouds, and no rain at all!! It was such a blessing to have beautiful weather for their outdoor ceremony overlooking the golf course!
I am so sad this wedding is over! I absolutely love this sweet couple- and their bridal party? I have no words. If i had to choose a word to describe their large bridal party I think I would simply choose “fun”. I had a smile on my face the entire day, and not only because I got to witness this beautiful marriage, but also because the bridal party was just so fun!
I started the morning at the hotel with Emily and her lovely bridesmaids getting ready. It was so sweet to see how much love Emily’s bridesmaids have for her! There were a few issues with the hotel room, like the toilet not flushing and the drain not draining and no maintenance guy on site….yikes, BUT Emily and her ladies didn’t let any of that put a damper on the day!
My assistant photographer spent the morning with the Guys getting ready…At one point I received a text from her saying “Timeline might be off, the groom doesn’t have pants.” Thank the lord for some great friends who were able to run back to the groom’s house and pick up his pants so he could be fully dressed for the ceremony!!! I seriously laughed out loud when I got that text message. So I hope you also laugh when you see a few of these images with the groomsmen fully dressed and Joey in his shorts!!
The ceremony was so beautiful, the couple’s adorable six month old daughter was pulled down the aisle in a beautifully decorated wagon! It was so adorable. And when Joey saw his bride coming down the aisle, I am pretty sure his face told it all.
Emily’s sister, Hope, sang during the cocktail hour and I was so blown away by her voice! I even told her if I was getting married again i would hire her to sing at my wedding!!! Emily’s dad gave such a nice speech at the reception, I actually even heard a staff member of the venue whisper to another employee, “This guy is like a professional.” Joey’s dad also had some special words to say to the couple. Speeches are always one of my favorite parts of the day. I love getting to hear little memories from everyone about the couple!
My other very favorite part of the day is when I get to steal the couple away for a few quick moments during sunset! Some of my favorite photos from their wedding day were from sunset!!
And lastly- the party dancing. I have NEVER seen the dance floor so packed from the very first song until the time I left!!! EVERYONE was a dancing fool! It was so much fun to watch!!
Emily & Joey, I wish the two of you nothing but the best! You have a lifetime together ahead of you! You are the sweetest couple and little Rosie is just so adorable! I had so much fun photographing your wedding!
