I first met this couple on a very snowy and cold day in Milwaukee this winter. They had a cozy engagement session at their favorite coffee shop! We met again this spring for a beautiful engagement mini session at the Military Academy in Delafield. Every time I am with this sweet couple I am smiling!

Brittany and John got married in early July at the new Venue- Fete of Wales. I had been looking forward to getting to shoot at this venue for months! Seriously, if you need a wedding venue, or a venue for any reason, you have to check this place out! From the gorgeously lit getting ready rooms on site, to the massive wall of windows in the main space every little detail was well thought out and a photographer’s dream.

As the day started Brittany was getting her hair and makeup done while John and his groomsmen hung out and played pool. Again- what an awesome idea! Fete has a pool table in the guy’s dressing room! It started to rain while everyone was getting dressed, and at first we thought it would be a light sprinkle- but then it really started raining. We held out hope and it stopped JUST before the ceremony was set to begin! Luckily the ushers and venue owners were able to dry the seats outside and the ceremony began!

Just a few short minutes later (and yes, I mean minutes, the ceremony lasted maybe 4 minutes! This sweet couple just wanted to get right to the point) they were married!!! We hurried our way through family formals and headed to the gorgeous pond on site. Brittany and John rowed around the pond for a short time and then we captured the rest of their couple portraits.

We also went to the high school where the couple met so many years ago! The bridal party definitely had some fun here! From making pyramids on the football field to funny poses on the bleachers- it definitely brought back some memories for Brittany and John!

The rest of the night went seamlessly, from the sweet speeches from family members and the best man/maid of honor to the first dance. Everyone was smiling all night long! Oh- and they had Chick-fil-a delivered for a late night snack which was simply delicious!!!

Congratulations Brittany and John! I am so so sad your wedding day is over because that means you won’t be in front of my camera for a while!!! I hope you two have a lifetime of love!
